One Thing I Try to Remember

Each morning I get up hoping the sun’s there to brighten my mood, but many mornings I get up and the storm hits me.

I hate waking up sick. I hate being allergic to a million things, and I hate that I’ve had to deal with mental and physical health woes for what felt like my whole life. But we all do. Some maybe less. But some, probably most, just deal with it better than me.

I like to consider myself a healthy person as I try to stay healthy and fit, but I’ve gone through and still go through many illnesses, chronic diseases, and mental health disorders that have contributed to physical health problems.

Being sick is frustrating. Especially when you feel like you’re sick every day to the point where you struggle to be yourself anywhere you go.

The sicknesses that come and go are bad. The ones that stay are even worse. And staying positive is quite a challenge in itself when you already know it’s going to take time to get better.

So I’ve spent some time looking for motivation.

When I think about giving up, I remember that there are people who have it much worse than I do. I don’t compare myself to them. But I value the spirit they have towards life and living through the pains.
